For a while now, I've been talking to people, developers and web agencies about SlickDuck, a website building management tool that enables teams, collaborators and clients to communicate better to build websites.
Building a web/SaaS platform is hard, even as a developer. Alongside freelance work and family commitments, it's nigh on fucking impossible.
But we made it! We're almost there and almost ready to set it live to the world. To start with, we're going to let a few agencies use it for free, so we can get some feedback on what they think and fix any bugs.
Building websites as a business is not an easy task, there is usually a lot of people involved on both sides of the agency and the client. A mix of creative people and business people. People who only care about their vision, not the joined up, full picture of a finished website.
I wanted to build a tool that could help take the project management and communication burden out of website builds as much as possible. A tool that enables to everyone involved to see the full picture and current status at any time, without having to send that 5PM email on a Friday evening... Where is the project at?
All the information, all the images, all the assets, all the designs (bring your own design tool) and all the copy. All in SlickDuck. Sitemap, Page by page status and client facing and agency facing chats.... all in Slick Duck.
It won't solve every issue when it comes to building websites, but we're dedicated to continue to build it so it's a mighty asset for your agency moving forward.
